Hello 112th Street Community,

This is Mr. Hernandez school principal with an important request.  In an effort to help keep students COVID-19 free, we are constantly looking for ways to minimize the opportunity for this virus to spread.   For this reason, we are not allowing students to bring any snacks to school.  Students who bring snacks, like to share with their friends. This puts them in danger because they take off their masks and could be exposed to this contagious virus.  If students will bring items to eat, they may eat them only during their lunch period.  No food will be allowed to be eaten outside of the lunch tables or during recess.  Please speak to your child about making sure they only eat in the lunch area and not share any food.  We are currently staggering lunch times to maximize social distancing for students as they eat.  Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated. We need to work together to keep our students safe.

Habla el director de la escuela, Sr. Hernández con una solicitud importante. En un esfuerzo por ayudar a mantener a los estudiantes libres de COVID-19, buscamos constantemente formas de minimizar la oportunidad de propagación de este virus. Por esta razón, no permitimos que los estudiantes traigan refrigerios a la escuela. Los estudiantes que traen bocadillos, les gusta compartir con sus amigos. Esto los pone en peligro porque se quitan las máscaras y podrían estar expuestos a este virus contagioso. Si los estudiantes traerán artículos para comer, pueden comerlos solo durante su período de almuerzo. No se permitirá comer alimentos fuera de las mesas del almuerzo o durante el recreo. Hable con su hijo sobre asegurarse de que solo coma en el área del almuerzo y no comparta ningún alimento. Actualmente estamos escalonando los horarios de almuerzo para maximizar el distanciamiento social de los estudiantes mientras comen. Su ayuda en este asunto es muy apreciada. Necesitamos trabajar juntos para mantener a nuestros estudiantes seguros.
